Violcence Introduction

Mahatma Gandhi once said  "I object to violence because when it appears to do good; the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent"
I strongly agree with this quote because it speaks the horrible truth abut violence . People think violence is the only way to prove a point but violence is always evil and it does unspeakable things to the minds of the people involved . The atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima were horrible acts of violence that shaped the landscape of Japan forever, it shaped the hearts of the Japanese people for ages to come. Violence can be clearly seen in my book: Star Wars: The Wrath of Darth Maul by Ryder Windham he is a young boy living and training to become a Sith lord under the teachings of the vicious and cruel Darth Sidious, who trains him mercilessly and without end. Darth Sidious uses violence to break Maul's spirit and make him become a lightsaber wielding monster. As seen in the book, Maul is used to violence and his masters' way of teaching him the ways of the Sith.
Everyday that we live in "peace" others are living under oppression from dictators like Castro or Kim Jong Un. They can't live their lives, they must be told how to live their lives in my book Darth Maul is told to become a Sith lord, he didn't choose to. His master told him to become a Sith lord so to shorten that, Darth Sidious is basically a dictator to Darth. People all over the world are dying and its all because of violence, people are being ransomed off by Somali pirates and the drug cartels execution videos are spreading like wildfire and people praise El Chapo Guzman as a god for being able to hide from the police for over 12 years after escaping from a Mexican prison in the early 2000's.

The Incident of 1976

It was a dark and gloomy night in Times Square, its three hours before New Years and three party goers are about to have the night of their lives. 22-year old Rain, 21-year old Allison, and 25 year-old are out partying when tremors rumble Times Square , the entire square fills with panicking civilians, Johan notices military jets and helicopters flying overhead, with spotlights aiming at something two blocks south of where the trio were. The trio then head north north to investigate when a giant foot lands in front of Johan, nearly killing him. The group simotaneously look up to see a heavily mutated giraffe standing on its hind legs, over 100 feet tall and letting out ear-pericing roars. The group attempt to run away from the monstrosity but are caught in the crossfire between the monster and the military, Allison is trampled and killed as the monster continues it havoc through Midtown. Johan and Rain cannot mourn their friends or risked being killed as well. To be continued
I am Darth Maul from Wrath of Darth Maul

I am a Sith Lord
I wonder if i'll get my revenge
I hear strange noises
I see pitch darkness
I want my revenge
I am Darth Maul

I pretend I am not hurt

I feel  angry and evil
I touch nothing
I worry about nothing
I cry because I am hurt
I am a Sith Lord

I understand that I have lost my lower half of my body

I say nothing

I dream about the day I get my revenge

I try to mastermind my redemption

I hope that he won't see it coming

I am Darth Maul

''Wrath of Darth Maul"

"Wrath of Darth Maul" by Ryder Windham is my book that I chose. It interests me because I love Star Wars and I am a HUGE Star Wars fanatic. I know almost anything and everything from the fictional universe from vehicles or animals to planets that are showcased in the movies, TV shows or books. My thoughts on what might happen is, in the movie A Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi padawan under the training of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn kills Maul in a duel that results in Qui-Gon's demise and Maul's supposed demise after Obi-Wan slices Maul in half at the waist, Maul's upper torso falls into a deep pit. The book might pick up after the movie, he is seen with robotic legs he scavenged from unlucky battle droid he managed to kill, he might be looking for the man that mutilated him and is now living with legs that are not his own. I think he will go on a quest to find and end the man that made him this way. a tale of redemption and nothing more.

A Hero

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite  of overwhelming obstacles" -Christopher Reeve
The quote is saying any man can overcome obstacles but for Christopher Reeve, it must be even more difficult, he is living in a paralyzed body, from the neck down. I can't imagine what its like to live knowing your paralyzed for the rest of your life. People complain that their bodies are not the ones they dream about, Christopher must sit in a chair, requiring assistance in eating, sleeping and all the movements that are required in anyone's daily life.
I agree with this quote because he is speaking the truth, everyone in their lifetime has to overcome troubling obstacles such as school, grades and the long stretch that is called life: children, mortgages, bills to pay, and our children's well being, everyday parents fear that their child will not fit in with society. Everyone lives in fear of something.
I've had to overcome many obstacles as a kid. Moving from Eastside to Park Creek or going to Los Angeles for the first time to meet my dad's side of his family. I've lived through many obstacles as a child and now as a pre-adult. Everyone has to fight personal to private obstacles in their lifetime. No way around it.
